Measurement
We measure every opening and check the frames to decide between a retrofit and a full-frame install.
Product selection
We go over brands, styles, colors and glass packages, then give you a written quote with no pressure.
Scheduling
Your windows are custom-built to your openings, usually in a few weeks. We call to set your install date once they’re in.
Installation
Our crew lays down tarps, removes the old windows, installs and seals the new ones, and does the trim work.
Cleanup & warranty
We clean up daily, clean your new windows inside and out, and walk you through the warranty and operation.

I'm am thoroughly impressed by Mike and his crew. My windows are amazing. In less than a day I can tell the difference in the temperature of my home. Hara's vinyl windows is the best window company in Oregon by far. Last month I had a broken window seal which caused the window to sort of fog up. Harrah's replaced all of our windows in our house over 20 years ago and I thought I would have to pay to have this window replaced but last month they came out and replaced the window for free. No out-of-pocket expense for me. My friends are so surprised.

How much do replacement windows cost in Salem?
Price depends on how many windows you’re replacing, their sizes and styles, the glass package and whether each opening needs a retrofit or full-frame install. We don’t quote from a price sheet. We measure your home and give you a written quote at no charge. Customers regularly tell us our bid came in well below the other companies they talked to.
How long does a window replacement project take?
Your windows are custom-built to your measurements, which usually takes a few weeks. Installation itself is quick: most whole-house jobs are finished in one to three days, and a few windows can often be done in a single day.
Do I need a building permit to replace windows in Salem?
Swapping a window into the same-size opening usually doesn’t need a permit. Enlarging an opening, cutting in a new door or changing structural framing usually does. We’ll tell you during the estimate if your project needs one and what that involves.
What warranty comes with new windows?
Your windows carry the manufacturer’s warranty from Milgard, Ply Gem or Cascade, and we stand behind our installation. We’ll go over the exact warranty for the windows you pick when we write up your quote.
Do I have to be home during installation?
Someone needs to let the crew in and walk through the job with them at the start and end of the day. In between, you’re free to go about your day. We protect floors and furniture and clean up before we leave each evening.
Can you help with window rebates in Salem?
Yes. Salem Electric members and customers of utilities served by Energy Trust of Oregon may qualify for incentives on energy-efficient windows. We’ll check what applies to your home and take care of the paperwork.
Is my older Salem home a problem?
